About CT/PT Test Equipment

The multifunctional CT/PT testing equipment can conduct the following tests on current transformers (CT) and potential transformers (PT):

n  CT turns ratio detection, ratio and phase difference calibration, polarity testing, and excitation characteristic testing.

n  CT secondary winding resistance measurement, secondary load measurement, CT 5% and 10% error curve measurement, transient characteristic analysis, and automatic deduction of nameplate information.

n  CT knee point voltage/current, accurate limiting factor (ALF), instrument safety factor (FS), secondary time constant (Ts), remanence factor (Kr), accuracy class, saturation and non-saturation inductance, knee point electromotive force, limit electromotive force, and area coefficient measurements.

n  CT core analysis and core hysteresis loop measurement.

n  PT turns ratio measurement, ratio and phase difference calibration, polarity testing, and excitation characteristic testing.

n  PT primary winding resistance, secondary winding resistance, and secondary load measurements.

The CT/PT testing equipment can be operated via its large, full colour, high resolution, daylight-readable TFT LCD touch screen display. This interface allows you to perform manual and automatic testing quickly and easily, and you can use the pre-constructed test routines to make testing even easier. The large colour display also enables you to easily read all pertinent data while the test is being performed and gives you the ability to view the results when the test is complete。

The testing equipment has a built-in Flash memory, and data is not lost after power failure. After completing on-site tests, the results can be viewed and printed indoors. Moreover, it comes with an RS232 communication interface, allowing a computer to be connected via a serial cable for online communication. This enables communication between the PC and the instrument, allowing the testing personnel to control the instrument through the computer for testing or upload test data from the instrument. The instrument's PC application program is powerful, elegant, and easy to operate, allowing the saving and printing of test results. It also allows the export of test data as Excel-format documents for editing.

Optional accessories include external boosters, external current boosters, external voltage regulators. The maximum voltage of the external booster can be raised to 2000V 3A, the external current booster can be raised to 1000A, and the external voltage regulator can output up to 1500V 20A. When using an external booster, it can perform the volt-ampere characteristic test of a 500KV class 1A current transformer at the highest level.

EZT's CT/PT analyzer as CT/PT testing equipment is used to measure all kinds of current transformer and voltage transformer. It can calculate the ratio errors and phase angle errors of current transformer and voltage transformer at rated burden and working burden in one time test. The tester can automatically evaluate the test results according to the selected standard to determine whether the transformer is qualified.
